Dina Traniello consults with schools and families to support students with significant disabilities, learning differences and challenging behaviors in general education settings.  She presents workshops/professional development on evidence-based practices around inclusion, conducting functional behavioral assessments and designing and implementing individual, classroom and whole-school positive behavior support and paraprofessional training. Additionally, she provides technical assistance and consultation and conducts research and evaluation around inclusion, special education programs, policies and practices, and aversive behavioral interventions.
Dr. Traniello is also a Visiting Professor at Fitchburg State University. She previously co-taught grant-funded courses Supporting Positive Behavior in an Inclusive Environment (graduate level) and Paraeducators in the Life of the School and Community (graduate and undergraduate level). She also supervises teacher candidates in severe and moderate disabilities.  Dina serves as the Co-President of TASH New England.  
 
Dina is the parent of two boys; her older son has a significant disability. While successfully included throughout his school-aged years, she was not prepared for the challenges their family faced during adulthood.
