2017 TASH Conference has ended

Each year, the TASH Conference brings together a diverse community of stakeholders who gain information, learn about resources, and connect with others across the country to strengthen the disability field. This year’s conference theme, “Still We Rise for Equity, Opportunity, and Inclusion,” shows the resilience of individuals with disabilities and their families across the lifespan. Conference attendees will celebrate their passion for disability rights, civil rights, and human rights while exploring inclusive communities, schools, and workplaces that support people with disabilities, including those with complex support needs. Return to TASH website.

Jan Writer is the Director of Student Placement at Benedictine University and an adjunct professor of Special Education at National Louis University. She is also the Principal Consultant for Visions & Dreams, an independent agency that provides technical assistance, training, and support to programs that serve children and youth with significant disabilities (SD). A 40+ year member of TASH, she has worked with students who have SD in many different capacities, and has consulted to programs serving persons with SD in over 34 states, the District of Columbia, Canada, the U. S. Pacific Trust Territories, and American Samoa. Over the years, she has served on multiple TASH committees, presented a TASH webinar, and given presentations at numerous TASH Conferences on diverse topics relevant to the organization.
